McKayla Okoniewski is an MA student and teaching associate in the English Department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She received her bachelor’s degree in Writing and Rhetoric and medieval European studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges before working in the University of Rochester’s Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program. She studies Indigenous and cultural rhetorics, writing pedagogy, and rhetorics on social media platforms. Outside of the classroom, she spends most of her time spoiling her cat, Luna.
