Research Interests: 19th Century British Literature
Maggie Turbyfield graduated from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga with a Bachelors of Arts in Literary Studies and a double minor in Communications and Education. She has loved reading since she was a young child and decided to pursue English literature in college. She worked as a teacher’s assistant in high school English classes at Brainerd High School and Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy. She also worked on the National Collegiate Honors Council’s Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (UReCA) for three years, serving as an editor, Social Media Manager, and Editor-in-Chief. All of these pursuits have nurtured a love of teaching and good writing. After getting her masters, Maggie plans to teach English literature. In her free time, aside from reading, she enjoys crocheting, embroidering, and spending time with her friends.
