Kate Wright
Teaching Assistant Professor
Kate Wright is a poet hailing from Western Pennsylvanian. Her creative work interrogates ideas of home, belonging, and isolation and is heavily influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic and popular culture. Kate’s scholarly interests include contemporary poetics, the use of humor in women’s confessional poetry, and environmental and northern Appalachian writing. Kate also works with the Flagship Writing Project where she does community engaged programming and research in local Flagship high schools.
