Dr. Joe Seale is a teacher and writer from rural west Alabama. Primarily a fiction writer, his academic interests involve an eclectic mix of creative writing, composition studies, and American literature, with specific concentrations in southern literature and African American literature. In addition to creative writing workshops and numerous composition courses, Dr. Seale has taught an assortment of other English courses over the years such as Multicultural American Literature, American Literature I & II, and World Literature I & II. At UTK, he regularly teaches ENGL 102: English Composition II – Inquiry into Humor and ENGL 295: Writing in the Workplace.
