Curriculum Vitae
Elijah Kibler
Teaching Associate
Research Interests: Film, Adaptation, Renaissance Literature, Japanese Literature, Art, and Culture, Psychoanalysis
As an undergraduate at Furman University, Elijah dedicated most of his time to examining various facets of literature, media, philosophy, history, and culture in and outside of the classroom. With summer work experience in both academic archival research and professional, community-based journalism, he has always enjoyed using his skills as a writer and investigator to chronicle the ideas and narratives of others into a form which is cohesive, compelling, and accessible for readers and students alike.
Elijah finds great value in studying and discussing the important stories, both factual and fictious, past, present, or future, that we as humans gravitate towards and identify with—a passion that he has followed into his professional career post-graduation as a masters student and teaching associate in The University of Tennessee’s English Department. When he’s not on campus working, he enjoys spending his free time in the movie theater, exercising outdoors, or reading fantasy and sci-fi novels at home.
