Bronwyn Luitwieler
Teaching Assistant
Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bronwyn Luitwieler relocated to Asheville North Carolina, where she completed her undergraduate work in both English Literature and French Language at the University of North Carolina Asheville. While completing her degrees she captained the UNCA Women’s Soccer team, worked as an editor for the school’s Literary Arts Journal, Headwaters, and earned the Virginia Bryan Award for Best Seminar Essay in her final semester.
Following her undergraduate career, Bronwyn worked as a substitute teacher for a K-12 institution and a barista at local coffee shops. She loves to see music, try new foods, meet new friends, and sit on the porch with her coffee and her cat. Becoming a part of the Asheville community has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.
As an English Literature MA student at the University of Tennessee, Bronwyn hopes to not only earn a top-quality education, but to dive into the Knoxville community and embrace the city with open arms. Primarily interested in 20th century American Literature, Southern Literature, and Gender Studies, she is thrilled at the opportunity to learn and teach in the prestigious English Department of UT.
