Research Interests: 20th Century British Literature, Modernism, Women Writers, Gender and Sexuality
Abigail Murrill earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Lee University, where she was a McNair Scholar conducting original research on Virginia Woolf. Her academic interests center on twentieth-century British literature, with a special emphasis on women writers. Abigail is particularly passionate about exploring the work of women writers and their place within the literary canon, with a keen interest in recovering and reassessing lost or underrecognized female authors. She is committed to pushing the conversation forward to better understand, analyze, and amplify female literary voices. At the graduate level, Abigail looks forward to continuing this work with a dedication to highlighting women’s contributions to literature.
