Sara Robinson
Teaching Assistant
Sara is a first year MA student in Literature, Criticism, and Textual Studies. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education, where she studied English literature and developed her skills in English pedagogy. She also taught seventh grade English at Opelika Middle School, where she had the opportunity to work under the mentorship of an experienced English teacher.
Her academic interests focus on erasure and recovery in early American literature, more specifically, gallows literature. These are texts and addresses surrounding public executions that were often published and circulated for entertainment.
Outside of academics, Sara enjoys attending music festivals and concerts. Moving to Knoxville, she is excited to explore the city’s live music scene.
