Hudson Cormac Walker is a first-year MA student in English at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he is also pursuing a certificate in Africana Studies. He earned his BA in English and Africana Studies from UT in 2026. His research interests include African American literature, pilgrimage, foodways, archives and collections, cultural studies, Medieval literature, and community-engaged scholarship. His work is particularly interested in how literature and culture shape ideas of home, memory, movement, displacement, and belonging across historical periods. Walker’s academic and archival work includes research in Africana Studies, research and accessibility work at the McClung Museum of Natural History & Culture, and volunteer archival and event work with the Beck Cultural Exchange Center. His research has been presented at the National Council of Black Studies 50th Annual Conference, where he participated in a panel exploring home, liberation, migration, and memory across disciplines. Outside of his academic work, Walker is a U.S. Army combat veteran who enjoys collecting Rubik’s cubes and hiking in his free time.
