Teaching Professor
Laura A. Hoffer specializes in fiction and creative nonfiction. Travel and place inspire much of her writing, and her work investigates the relationships between place and identity in diverse landscapes, including within Europe, Mexico, and Appalachia, as well as in the liminal space of the hospital NICU. Her scholarship interests center on 20th and 21st century Southern U.S. and Latin American literature. She teaches creative writing, composition, and literature courses centered on the study of fiction.
