Research Interests: Contemporary poetry and fiction, memoir, gender and sexuality, body studies, Reproductive Justice, feminism, girlhood
Cora Schipa is a poet and writer originally from San Diego, though she spent much of her life in Charleston, SC. At the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she is the Poetry Co-Editor of Grist, the Assistant Managing Editor of Crab Creek Review, and a creative writing mentor with WriteGirl. She also co-hosts UTK’s Creative Writing Reading Series, Chiasmus. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Third Coast, New Orleans Review, Southeast Review, Harpur Palate, Peatsmoke, Cola Literary Review, Rust & Moth, The Shore, and Gulf Stream, among others
