Beatrice McHugh is an MA student in Literature, Criticism, and Textual Studies. Beatrice is a reluctant lover of chaos and vagueness. She is fascinated by complicated relationships of meaning that develop through the processes of authoring and reading, and the uncertainty of what it means to “know” anything at all. She is interested in, among other authors, Cormac McCarthy and Vladimir Nabokov. Her hobbies include reading (obviously) and writing poems and short stories (and one day, hopefully, a novel!). She also enjoys cooking and baking, cycling, walking, hiking, backpacking and camping, Bob Dylan, watching films with friends, and discussing her love of California and the American West.
