Michael Emmanuel is a poet and fiction writer from Nigeria. Currently an MFA student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Michael has previously worked as a copywriter, content writer, and content marketer. His writing has received several recognitions; he won the 2018 Quramo Writers’ Prize, was named a semifinalist in the 2021 Jack Grapes Poetry Contest and an honorable mention in the 2022 Stephen A DiBiase Poetry Contest. His works have appeared in The Shore, Grist journal, trampset, Ake Review, Afritondo, and other places.
