Professor Christina Sharpe to Give Talk Entitled “Black. Still. Life.”

On Thursday, 11/2, at 3:30pm, in McClung Tower 1210, Professor Christina Sharpe will give a talk entitled “Black. Still. Life.” Sharpe is Professor of English at Tufts University and author of In the Wake: On Blackness and Being and Monstrous Intimacies: Making Post-Slavery Subjects. Sharpe has won awards from the Mellon Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Woodrow Wilson Center, and the Ford Foundation. Her most recent book, In the Wake, is a powerful and brilliant meditation on contemporary black life as a continuation of the never-past slave trade.
