Atlanta Braves pitcher and UT alumnus R.A. Dickey majored in English as an undergraduate and has continued to be a lifelong reader and advocate for literary education. The author of a memoir about life on and off the baseball field, Wherever I Wind Up, Dickey is the first knuckleballer to win the Cy Young Award and has enjoyed a celebrated career with a number of major-league baseball teams. Please join us at on Friday, October 27, 7:30 p.m. in the Carousel Theatre for a conversation between Dickey and English Professor Christopher Hebert about books, baseball, and the value of an English education.
