Liliana C. González is Assistant Professor of Latino/a Literature, Culture, and Theory in the Department of English and the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures. She earned her PhD from the University of Arizona in Latin American Literature and Culture, her MA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in Hispanic Studies, and BA from the University of California, Irvine in Chicano/Latino Studies and Spanish. Her research project focuses on a queer analysis of racial and class discourses in hemispheric narco cultural production. Her broader research interests include Chicano/a, U.S. Latino/a and Latin American cultural studies, feminist theory, gender studies, and queer theory.
